Plays very much like 3030 deathwar and thats a good thing. its pretty simple to start and can get as complex as you want when it comes to ship upgrading. combat feels smooth and enjoyable and can get pretty intense. The main story as of yet feels more like an intro to the game rather than a guiding story throughout and i feel like thats how it should be for a space game like this.TLDR: Great space game Fun exploration Tons and Tons to do awesome ship system9/10 IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE IT, GET IT!. Well done. ~Cheers. A fun arcadey rpg/shooter that is easy to pick up and get going. A lot of potential, and a blast even in early access.. Star Valor is one of those games that makes me believe in Early Access!This game is already very enjoyable even during development and still shows lots of potential for future growth, I have just a few ours into it but here are some first impressions:- The tutorial introduced me to the game Universe, wich was very important since the content is huge and very easy to get lost into. - Lots of things to do, tons of diferent ships and equipment to chose, and and many diferent ways to achieve your goals.- The mechanics are easy to learn and very rewarding to master. I struggled with then at first, but by the time I started getting used to it I could actually fell like taking more out of my current ship capabilities.-The developer is very attentious and commited to the project, he seens really opened and responsive to community feedback, and even messeged for helping with an issue I had while launching the game on a old computer.In all, a very enjoyable game with lots of room to grow and a developer commited to seeing it happen.Even tough I got it on sale I would say it's worth full price.. NOT WORTH THE MONEY, BALANCING ISSUES BREAK THE GAME MAKING IT TO SLOW AND BROKEN TO PLAYTO DEVto get one ship takes at least 3 hours of mining, hoping to get something good only to get ore that you cant refine, then going to a station where they give you so little money for the quests and materials, that it's like you punish the player for actually try to buy a bigger ship and then when you do, the mod points are only a little bit better. If I buy a frigate I expect the damn thing to have 30 or more mod points higher then a ♥♥♥♥ing corvette, it's like the bigger ship you go for the more money you spend only to realise for some reason you can get a corvette that has 10 weapon slots and 120 mod points for cheaper, and the frigate i just got only have 60 mod points and 6 weapon slots how does that balance out? last time i checked the bigger the ship the more♥♥♥♥♥♥you can put on it/in it. I know your supposed to explore other solar systems but how are you supposed to do that when the AI has ships and weapons that out rank yours when they are supposed to be a level 10 shuttle and your in a level 20 frigate but they have 700 shield points and level 50 weapons and they are not a boss explain that to me.. Tight combat , good character customization , good ship customization with an interesting sandbox to play around in . To me all it is missing to make your own story are the faction wars and the devs said they were working on those . i hope that there will be territory changing hands but no mention yet . overall it is good in the current state and is only getting better.. tl;dr - Game's amazing, go ahead and buy it, help with developing it further!Even though it's in Early Access and there aren't many quests available up to a certain point (but that's good for now, because while you wait you can experience different gameplay mechanics), there certainly is a lot of stuff to do.The game allows you to follow a path of your own choosing - either a freelance trader/supplier/freighter who picks up assignments on the newly met space stations, or a skillful and precise pilot of a powerful fighter who gets rid of the marauder and pirate scum - the game doesn't force you to do anything and right now you can really do whatever you want.As a production of a "one man studio" it has a lot of content and I certainly hope that the studio will grow, for there is much work to be done - can't wait to pursue my trader career further, for now I'm stuck wandering around the emptiness of space and mining rocks (for that's another alternative to what I've mentioned earlier). I shall not point out all of the stuff you can find in the game for I think you should just hop in and find out for yourself.The creator is very helpful and active on the forums, eliminating bugs and acknowledging the tips and suggestions.Even though I've played for a few hours, and the game has been up for less than a day (and it's already being patched up and community suggestions are already being added to the game), I'd say it's totally worth its price.
