In general I'd suggest everyone to play this game with a walkthrough of it, so everytime when you get stuck you can check the walkthrough and progress further in the game. I play a lot of detective games and I got stuck a lot of times in this game, cos sometimes you literally have to find a bunch of hair somewhere which you can super easily overlook.And if you reach the point in the game where you have to sneak past a guard and the guard dog: SAVE IMMEDIATELY! Because if you fail to sneak past them, the investigation is over and you have to re-load a save. Since this game does not have autosave, it has happened to me that I forgot to save for quite a while, got caught by the guards and lost progress of almost an hour.And if you reach the point where you're in a forest which is kind of like a maze: SAVE IMMEDIATELY AGAIN! Because the same thing will happen again if you fail this mission.Some of the puzzles did not make any sense to me, even with the help of the walkthrough. And the story can get super confusing at one point cos it's connected with so many side stories and I gotta admit that I lost track of what was happening halfway through the game. Still played it until the end cos I wanted to know who the murderer was. All in all the game wasn't bad. Some mechanics were weird, some puzzles didn't make sense and the story is confusing but it still was an experience and fun to play through it. I'd say buy it when it's on sale so you won't regret spending the whole amount on it (let's be honest, the price is too high).You can finish it within 8-10 hours.. Overall an enjoyable point and click game.Nice puzzles but some where annoying cause moving Holmes felt extremely clunky and slow (looking at you stealth and forest timed sections even if super short). Nice story even if the voice acting was "meh" at best...Quite short so I recommend it only on a discount.P.S.: Only the first 5 pictures of the preview are of the game, the other 5 are from Sherlock Holmes:Nemesis game.. While miles better than their first Sherlock Holmes game, this second outing is still not good. The plot's a bit of a jumble, and the items you have to find far too hidden. There's also no first person option, so most of the game is spent watching Holmes walk slowly around the large areas.Frogwares gets better though! In fact every game after this is well worth playing, even the silly Hound of the Baskervilles.. A very nice game with tricky puzzles. The graphics are not the newest but its still a game which can be very enjoyable because of the story. In addition you must save your game with small breaks because of the lack of autosave and of game over situations (fire in the woods or the stealth part) where you must load the last save you made. Because of this issue I had lots of replays because I forgot to save my game and I had to replay 3 hours of the game again.. The game started out nice enough. Point-n-click adventure game. Not the best, but enjoyable.Then I got to the part where you need to stealthely get by a guard and his dog. A stealth part in an adventure game. Now, if implemented properly, this wouldn't be that bad. Unfortunatelly that is not the case here. The rules of how they can detect you are not explained nor are they obvious. Depending on where you are, Holmes may or may not be able to go where you click. Even after checking out some walkthroughs and knowing what I was supposed to do (which didn't really make sense in the first place) I was not able to get through this stage. Quite a shame since from what I understand, that's about halfway through. Oh well.. Whoa, this game is horrible. This is just slightly better than its prequel. Controls are still ♥♥♥♥ed up, voice acting is still terrible, graphics are irrelevant for this kind of game, but it still bugs me how bad this game was made overall. Bad programming at its best.I had to force myself through this game, through this torture, just for the sake of the plot which wasn't even that good. Holmes conclusion is the only good moment in this game. They even ♥♥♥♥ed up the cinematics.
